Board Members
“Individual commitment to a group effort - that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work.” ~Vincent "Vince" Lombardi, Athletic Coach (1913-1970)
2010-2011
Board members play an important role in improving the cohesiveness of the community by sponsoring the Annual Picnic (originally started by the Midvale Park Homeowner's Association and Stratford Management), the Annual Easter Egg Hunt, and volunteering in beautification projects, such as cleaning wash areas that do not fall under the jurisdication of the HOA. Their involvement is essential in making Midvale Park a better place to live.

Joseph Miller, President
Joseph is a family man with five wonderful sons and a loving wife, a UPS driver for 18 years, and a neighborhood leader. He has lived in this part of Tucson for most of his life and has been very active in community decisions for the last five years. "Neighborhoods are the most basic and personal part of America. It is where grass roots efforts become positive change," Miller said.
Joseph went to Sunnyside High School, Pima College, and the University of Arizona. Married in 1993, he bought his home in Midvale Park in 1995 and served as neighborhood president from 2005-2009. As president he helped to increase participation of neighbors by inviting the most influential leaders in the community to monthly neighborhood meetings. His group developed a monthly newsletter, website, and maintained an e-mail list to increase communication to, from, and amongst neighbors. Working with neighbors, agencies, politicians, and businesses, this group surveyed the neighborhood and sought grants to work on their priorities. They grew the annual picnic into a festival serving over 2,000 neighbors. Through celebrations, clean-ups, and programs, the group made Midvale Park safer, cleaner, and a better place to raise a family.
